When Charleston church shooting victim’s father dies, his son’s killer’s name gets the news
The man who was killed at the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, S.C., by an off-duty police officer on Wednesday is named as Joseph Johnson.
But Johnson is still on the loose.
His name is being withheld from family members and friends in an attempt to protect the identity of the person who killed Johnson.
In the hours after the shooting, local media reported that the names of the two men who shot and killed Johnson, and the name of the woman who was with them when the shooting occurred, have been made public.
Johnson’s name was not released to the media on Thursday, according to the Charleston Post and Courier.
“We are not releasing the name until we can speak with him.
We want him to know that we are here and we care about him,” the newspaper reported.
The newspaper reported that family members have been trying to locate Johnson since he was killed.
The Charleston Police Department has said that Johnson is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The church has not commented on the names being released.
The news about Johnson comes a week after the church said that the name, age and race of the man who killed him have been released.

A source told the Post and Cable that the band was in the process of finishing a new album at the time of the shooting.
The band’s manager confirmed the band’s new album would be released on Sept. 14.
“This is a difficult time for us.
We are working with our lawyers to have this process complete and the band and the album can come out as soon as possible,” the source told ABC News.
The source said the band had been preparing for the release of their next album, “It’s Only Rock and Roll,” which was scheduled for release on June 2.
The name of another band member who was in Johnson’s group at the shooting has also been released, the source said.
In a Facebook post, the band said Johnson “was the lead singer, lead singer-guitarist and lead vocalist of The Jesus And Mary Chain.”
The band said in a statement, “Our hearts go out to the families of all of the victims of the Charleston church massacre.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the families.””
Joseph was a very dedicated member of The Mary Chain and a dedicated friend to all who knew him.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the families.”
