Texas Church of England church to open with stained glass windows

A New York City-based Catholic church that prays at Holy Cross Church in Dallas is to open the first stained glass window in the U.S. The St. Patrick’s Church of America in New York was founded in the 16th century by French Catholics.
The church has more than 2,000 stained glass paintings of saints, saints’ homes and icons in its walls.
The stained glass was installed in the cathedral in 2016 and the first of its kind in the United States.
“The window in St. Patricks will be an opportunity to celebrate the rich legacy of the church in the state and across the nation and to invite the community to share in the faith,” the St. Paul’s Episcopal Diocese said in a statement.
St. John’s Episcopal Church in the Texas city of Austin also recently opened a stained glass front entrance with stained-glass windows in the first building of its size in the city.
